Fuel lines

I have a 95 Audi 90 quattro. My fuel lines rusted out. I want to replace them with proper 30R9 Goodyear fuel injection hoses. I am somewhat worried about their heat resistance under the hood. Is heat going to be a problem? I will follow the old steel lines.

The stock fuel lines have steel braided rubber hoses for the final part. Do I need to keep them or can I run the new hose up to my fuel rail?

Considering that leaky fuel lines when exposed to hot areas have a tendency of catching cars on fire, I would suggest keeping it as close to stock as possible, assuming it isn't modified extensively.

Not sure why you would replace hard lines with soft lines...

If the lines rusted out, I'd suspect the entire fuel system is FUBAR from the tank to the injectors.

I am changing all the lines. I am using hard lines underneath the car. It gets really tight where the lines head in the engine bay. They lines are crammed between the tranny and the engine bay and they have a lot of bends in that area.
