Is there any easy way to set the fuel gauge? The one I had in the cluster was bad and not reading at all, and I have a replacement. Wonder if there was a way to zero it out and when you turn the car on it goes to where it's supposed to be.

It should correct itself when you turn the key on and it receives a signal from the fuel sending unit. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. When I swapped clusters in my 89 a while back, the gas gauge on the new cluster was sitting on 3/4 while I only had about a 1/4 tank. As soon as I turned the key on it corrected.
Thanks. I gave it a try and it worked... I think. I'm not sure how much gas I had in the car, but the gauge went from a little over half a tank to 1/4 tank. I'll find out once I get it on the road and fill the tank.
