So today I was driving home and pulled out the parking lot, I was in 1st gear and was getting ready to shift when the car started jerking, it did it for maybe a second and then stopped. I was worried because as it jerked the rpms went up to about 5500rpm and I was afraid of rod knock. It went up due to me pressing the gas bc of the car jerking my foot slid forward, I know, stupid me. Anyways a little while later I was in second gear and I went to about 4500rpm and when I released the gas it jerked the car again.

Does anybody have any idea what might be the cause of this?
Any help is much appreciated.

It could be a boost leak, i.e. the intake depressurizing from a sudden, massive gap forming where a rubber piece of the intake splits open because of the pressure. If you're boosting high over stock or if you're at sea level and have a few exhaust mods, it's possible it's the ECU fuel cut point... but more likely it's a boost leak.

Make a boost leak tester.
