I think GSP would win a decision but I think Johnny believes that because BJ is the only UFC fighter (please correct me if i am wrong) to hold the belt in three different weight classes. You gotta be pretty fuckin stout to do that. He is a monster and i love watching him fight!

He did, I wont take that away from him...he held Herring down like a redheaded step child about to be molested. However, my problem is he didnt finish. He is a solid fighter, thats for sure, he just needs more experience under his belt. Major props for defeating an experienced fighter in his second bout...im sure his loss to Frank Mir was an eye-opener and he will train even harder.

That first sentance just made my day, LOL. Im supprised that he did not break some ribs with those knees to the side. Those looked like they hurt A LOT. Although I don't watch UFC too often, I don't think that I have seen anyone do that before in that weight class. He is a fuckin beast, and moves very quick for a guy his size.

2 belts hes won. Lightweight and Welterweight....winning two belts in 2 different weight classes in any case is really tough and nearly impossible mountain to climb...him and Randy Couture are the only ones i know of that has done it so far.

My reasons for betting on BJ Penn have been fairly obvious in watching his last 3 fights against quality and very tough fighters. Jens Pulver, Joe Stevenson and Sean Sherk. He manhandled them nearly easily and even toyed with them during his victories over his opponents. In his fight against Jens Pulver, he was in his best shape Ive ever seen him in. It was then he announced how he is taking his training and cardio extremely seriously and when you saw him enter the octogan against Pulver...this was a new Prodigy we were looking at. So long are the days of depending on raw talent to do the work for him, BJ Penn was for real...and in his last three fights against quality fighters, he was very much in his new body and defeated them very easily.

When he wasnt in shape..only depending on his love of surfing and his raw talent to make ends meet in preparations for a big fight, he went to split decision with GSP. Though he lost the split decision, fighting off of a training session that consists of leisure only shows that his lazyness, not his ability, it was got him. BJ Penn defeated himself. In his fight against Matt Hughes, he lost TKO in the third round via crucifix hold with shots to the head. BJ Penn suffered separated ribs in the 2nd round and completely ran out of steam from his sustained injuries and couldnt even move his core. However, prior to the injury, BJ Penn was manhandling Matt Hughes as if Matt Hughes was some sort of amateur.

With GSP..hes an amazing fighter. He always puts on a great show, he trains hard, is very talented and is well versed in all forms of MMA. He trains with the best and he fights just as well as he works. great stand up, great ground game, can adapt, etc. However, as lazyness and leisure was BJ Penns kryptonite, mental strength was GSP's worst enemy. Its then you would question what GSP would show up...we saw the one when he first fought Hughes...he was so nervous and it cost him the fight. Then his fight against Matt Serra once against showed that it was his mind, not his ability, that cost him the fight. However, GSP won his title back and defended it recently against John Fitch (who is a tough motherfucker, btw).
GSP is a powerful fighter, explosive in everyway and I truley believe a fight between GSP and BJ Penn would be an absolute war...but when I really look at both fighters...why they lost, why they won, how they won, who they fought, etc....I see BJ Penn being the better fighter.

that is why I choose BJ Penn over GSP.

I'd like to see an olympic track or swimming star fight a UCF fighter :biglaugh:

And wtf is so bad about drifting? Fast turbocharged cars with good drivers and it's fun to watch, what's so wrong with that? Rather watch nass-car?

Brock was impressive, and GSP seems unbeatable. They need to put GSP in there with Anderson Silva, that would be a fight to watch. Anderson Silva is the best fighter in UFC right now imho.

fuck nascar... that shit is a waste of TV... ALMS is a thousand times better. and i guess i dont watch enough of this UFC stuff to really care... i only watched the olympics cause at work there was a 50'' plasma tv... lol

i dont watch TV in general i guess... everything is so one sided.

and in all honesty, i would rather see those fast turbocharged cars go around the track as fast as possible rathen then put on a show...

Wow. You seem pretty stupid to me. DO you even watch ALMS. In the ALMS there are only a handful of turbo cars(maybe 5 percent of the field.) Also in the ALMS there is about 15 maybe 16 overtakes in a race throughout the whole field. About 10 of these are when drivers come in to pit. What is wrong with NASCAR? Oh wait.....they only turn left. So what? There is more strategy that goes into a NASCAR race than an ALMS race. There are hundreds of passes each race. The cars are V8's 9200RPM 850+hp TO THE WHEELS(using ancient engine building technology). You sound like one of people who have NEVER attempted to watch a race, let alone go to one, and think NASCAR is just a bunch of rednecks going in circles kinda fast. How little do you know. There is a reason why it became so popular, and why it is still growing. You are not a motorsports fan if your views on cars/car races is going to be so narrow.
