when you put a front mount on a mkiii theirs like support bar that goes right in front of it. i have seen where someone cut the middle section out of the support bar or completely took it off is this safe or is this something you shouldn't do bc you cant even really see a bad ass front mount with it in the way. so thanks for any replys on this thanks.
front mount intercooler question

ok bc ive seen some nice cars that have it where you can see the whole Intercooler and cut the front bumper out to show it off
you can cut the urathane/vinyle cover section out as thats just the looks part, a razor blade will do that. but the metal bar is what takes the impact in a crash.
Cutting the crash bar is safe if you rebox the cut and reinforce it (this is what was done for the Turbo-A). Removing the crash bar is frankly idiotic...
If you choose, do as Poodles said. Cut and rebox the area you cut out to reinforce, but to be honest, you don't need a 36x85x8 IC, I have an upgraded CT with an aftermarket FMIC, made by PTE. It's a "medium" and fits perfectly between the frame rails, and only some of it is behind the crash bar.

ok well thats good info i'll just buy the ic kit from driftmotion. The one with the piping and ic and ill just install and leave everything alone. Is that a good ic if anyone knows because its not name brand, but i don't think Arron would sell crappy stuff
your intercooler will be fine with a portion of it not in direct airflow. make sure to have the underpanel in place to get the best flow and efficiency of ambient air through the intercooler.
with the underpanel on, it creates a low pressure area in the space where your heat exchangers are. the grill opening creates a high pressure area when you're driving, the air is forced to go through that opening. high pressure likes to go to low pressure areas, so the higher pressure air will expand and move to the low pressure areas.
you don't NEED to have 100% of the exchanger exposed to retain efficiency.

Ill just make sure to put the underanel on and angle it right and where is a good place to buy a good front bumper I don't like the stock one it dosnt look aggressive enough
