I've been told they work, but how? From all the pictures I've seen it looks like the MKIV front have a fork design, as opposed to an eyelet on the MKIII.

Or am I wrong, and looking at the rear MKIV shocks?

Even if they do fit what is the benefit? Different spring rate, better dampening, lower, what?

I don't know the difference, but to me it kinda seems like a step sideways.

less worn out, possablely better taken care of:dunno:

nonono, the aftermartket shocks for the mkiv have firmer dampening, such as the bilstein HD or KYB shocks. Also they make KYB AGX for the mkiv, which is what I'm interested in.

I have the KYB AGX adj. on my car with a with a set of Eibach springs. Greart shock, adn the bolt right up. The install was easy as gravy.

The rear fit, the fronts will fit if you use MKIV spindles, but that sets the wheel inward too far, and it just looks stupid.. not to mention you will also have problems with the wheel contacting the control arm when turning all the way right or left.

the MKIV front brake setup with work if you use the MKIV lower control arms
but it located the wheel in the front BACK about .75" which looks funky. I knew
a guy who did it.

Car stopped GREAT tho.

from what i read no only the rears have the fork mount

You are correct. I have the HYB AGX adj. made for a MKIV on the front of my '87. The install was easy and the shock perform great. On the other i have KYB GR-B's on the the back cause the MKIV rears wouldnt fit properly.

I think the fronts sit perfect. and they perform amazing

ok finally, someone that has done them, thanks, suprastic.

What springs are you using?

Im using the Eibach's. I think the total setup was ~$500 or less. I bought the spring and struts for all for corners from 935Motorsports. Im very happy with the front AGX's paired with the Eibach's, however I'd like to see if i can get a set of Blisteins in the back to drop it about another 1/4-1/2 inch. For me the Eibach dont see to lower the rears much. But all in all for the type of driving i do this set up is perfect.
