Called the cops and CO is a two plate law state. There is a fine and points will be added to your record.
Guess I need to drill:cry:

Just make an L type bracket and mount in under the lip of the front bumper.

Went to replace the rear plate bolts as they didn't fit from the dealer but can't find a bolt to fit.

I tried 6mmx1.00 but it only goes in less than a 1/8 of a turn.
Tired 5mm and 1/4 with no luck.
What size is it? If 6mm then PO must of mucked up the thread.

I got some self threading screws for the front.
What is behind the plastic, metal, other?

What is the reason to make a bracket under the bumper and where does it bolt to?

I would still play stupid for as long as I could. I am going on three years without one and have only been pulled over for it twice, neither time did I get a ticket. Just play stupid. Tell them that there has never been a front plate and you thought it was legal without one. And also add that now that you know, you will put it on as soon as you get home.....It has worked for me so far.
