If I'm not mistaken I've seen manifolds for the Mk4 made by that same company where the casting was made with terribly contaminated metal. Even after polishing you could still see voids in the metal. It does look nice, but I'd hesitate to spend that kind of cash with an overseas company with no real history.

^^^ LOL! That wasn't because of the welds or high boost. Nothing like a manifold full of LPG and a backfire to ruin your whole day! ;)

I'd like to see a turbo that can continuously feed that kind of pressure, and spool up at about 4k :biglaugh:

How much pressure would you say it took to cause that kind of carnage? at least 400 psi by the looks of it!

Zach: LOL funny part is that's where I bought the material for it

Until you do all your own machine work on your block, and head, AND create your OWN aluminium, there will always be a scapegoat, won't there? :biglaugh:

I come from a land down under
Jag: I'd guess a bit higher as it managed to blow the 2mm HKS Stopper between 3 cylinders as well :(

One thing I noticed on that intake was it drummed a bit at idle due to the intake pulses and in time would have failed along the lines of what Supra1 was suggesting.

Shaeff: Not a whole lot..... :(

ffim sits quite a bit lower than the stock manifold. level with the ports actually in this application

should fit underneath the booster.

So far I've only "hear" on here from one person that's tried to fit it and they've ran into the issue of the back hitting the brake booster. There are other brake boosters that will work on the supra that may allow enough room for it to fit if this is indeed the issue...

Ian, I just knew you were going to post up a pic of your blown FFIM when I read the post on them blowing ;)
