Hey boys and girls,
Just wanted to see what everyones opinions are on FFIM plenum shapes. This is solely from a looks stand point what do you prefer?

Do you like round:

Or Do you like square:

Just curious as what people think looks best. I personally like the square not only for looks but also from an engineering stand point and volume vs. dimensional size! Appreciate any opinions!

Thanks,
Seth

I like the style of the short runner that Ron Ramirez does.

I hate the squared ones.

If someone would start copying the RR short runner I'd buy one.

Well I take it round it is.

Performance wise round does not neccessarly perform better.....

That shape is inline with the flow plus it is boosted therefore the plenum is full.

But it is good to know.

BTW the way these are ones I build I just wanted to know what people like. The round one is called a medium runner manifold and has the same design and flow characteristics as a short runner manifold yet is rotated up to allow for simply lowering the alternator!

Thanks for the opinions!

round one.. its not that its better, its the fact that those square ones, regardless of your awesome welding skills still manage to look horrible.

I'm in the process of building mine, and it's going to be square.

But I'm also going to smooth out the welds for a seamless look and powder coat the whole thing black.

But hey, to each his own.

Data to back this claim up?

i dont have data to back it up but im sure its for the same reason water move faster and smoother through a round pipe,or the same reason air flows better through a round air ducts in more expensive ducts
