I dont know about you but another $2000 and you get the whole car, every part you could ever need; plue maybe some hks goodies. then maybe sell a few parts to make up some $$. sound good to me. I also have quotes back that are $5000 just for the front clip.:nono:

I konw thats why 5 grand for the whole car seems like a good deal. plus no pain of 2jz swap, wiring, get this get that. by the end 6 grand is spent on 2jz. this is whole MKIII supra. Im just stating that i also had a quote for 5 grand for just the clip, making the whole car just that much of a better deal.

the prices are rising thats for sure. shipping a whole car costs a lot compared to shipping for a front clip though..

MN. Dont know if i would go as far of a right hand swap or what ever just a standered 1jz swap with parts to last.
You could make back some of the money back buy selling all of the rhd parts. :naughty:

I tried to make some money off selling the RHD parts off of my 1jz clip and I ended up just throwing it all in the trash because nobody wanted it.

Yep one could, if RHD parts dont sell, there is still all the exterior panels, bumpers, spoiler, windows, suspention parts, rear end( witch I wonder what it is in a 1jz supra) rear seats, Climate control, and what else may be in it.

Did you already work out how you're going to get this car registered, US titled, and insured?

I think Joe, i could be wrong, but his idea was not to legalize and drive the car, but to use it for parts.

hmm. Well if so, then buying an RHD is retarded. I don't see how it's cheaper or a better option. Not to mention the hassle of having another whole car. Parting out an entire car is not always worth the time.

Someone is ripping this guy a new one if he's getting quoted at 5k for a clip shipped. Unless clips just magically shot up in value since last I checked.

What companies are these that are being called? And why aren't you going through one of the known JZ engine/clip/engine set vendors that can be vouched for by members here? I'll never understand why people choose to buy from some importer no one here deals with then posts up months later that they got the wrong engine, wrong harness, no harness, missing electronics, missing parts, etc. Doesn't always happen but happens enough.

If I'm jumping the gun, then I apologize in advance.

I agree. I got my clip for $2500 shipped. The only thing it didn't come with is the hydro fan controller. $5000 is outrageous!!!

I would say get the whole car, and you pretty much get all the JDM shit you want EVER. You might get even lucky with a recaro interior. JDM mirrors, lights, rubs etc. You can sell all that to offset the price.

Well you are all right and some wrong. Get whole car for 5 grand or front clip for $2500. Eather or it would be FOR A 1JZ SWAP..... just thinking 5 grand for the whole car isnt a bad price i think. may be i am wrong and 5 grand for the whole car is a rip. I AM ALSO JUST STATING THAT I ALSO GOT A QUOTE FOR FRONT CLIP FOR 5 GRAND, AND ALSO A QUOTE FOR $2500 ON FRONT CLIP ONLY. Not every one charges the same. im just thinking of the xtra parts one would get if you would buy the whole car. It would not be used to regester and drive just parts and 1jz swap.
