front bumper license plate shave job--how to?

I did some searching and i found some threads on shaved molding. I was wondering if anyone has tried shaving (filling in) the area where the license plate goes on an 89+ front bumper....i suppose to look more like a pre-89 bumper but with the kling-on nose. (hope that makes sense). Plastic body filler? plastic welding? i don't want to do some backyard bondo job. ideas? suggestions? or just go with a pre-89 nose? lol

If your doing it and have no experience then anything you use will be "back yard" job...

I would like to do it also but can't. Cops will pull me over for not having front plates.

I would use a plastic welder. I wouldn't try filling that whole area in though. I'd get another scrap bumper and cut a part of the flat section out from the sides of the scrap one and weld it in the center of the good bumper.

I used fibrefill for the nose emblem piece. That looks like a LARGE patch to try with that stuff (tho I have a lot left over).

you can do the shave on your bumper and not get pulled over if you have this license plate holder.
