Since this isn't really technical, I guess I'm having trouble deciding where to post this.

Anyway. I'm a newbie to bodywork, but my 89 turbo has a messed up front bumper. The previous owner CUT OUT the grill near the bottom and it's kinda sagged at the bottom.

An OEM replacement is $305 and I very much want to restore this car visually.

However I am gonna try some junkyards. When asking if they have any what year models should I ask for? Any old MK3 or just my year? What kinda price should I expect?

Thanks in advance.

if it's an 89 then you should be asking for specific for your year unless you want a pre 89 front bumper. they are different. here's a pic of what they look like.

Pre89:

post 89 ( this is a Greddy replica bumper so it's not stock)

That's odd. Mine looks like the higher one, but HAD a grill there...........

What kinda price should I be looking for?

So I should say 89-92 for year?

What year is your car? That's obviously the year you should get, but you can get them from a range of 86-88 models or the 89-92 models.

Yes. But that is a TERRIBLE example of an 89+, it looks virtually nothing like that in stock form besides the center raised section.
