From Porsche to Toyota

I got a '77 924. The handling won't be as nice, but you'll love the power.

Also you'll probably get the same thing when you told people you drive a porsche.

"I drive a porsche"
"a 911?!"
"No a 944"
"oh..."

but instead it'll be like

"I drive a supra"
"Like the one from fast and the furious?"
"No the older one"
"Oh..."

Very true! But to the non-car people "I drive a Porsche" sounds a lot cooler than "I drive a Toyota." :biglaugh:

you'll get the same if you get a mk3.

"what kind of car do you have?"
"supra"
"really?! is it a twin turbo?!!"
"no, it's an older one. single turbo."
"oh, that's too bad"

The engine bay is rather restrictive if you've seen one, as bad as the supra but not inline 6 friendly. It's what makes clutch jobs extra fun ;)
Change the oil cooler seals ASAP, its the trouble that would give you BHG and RODKNOCK thereafter. Its a b!tch but ease of mind really pays. And do the timing/balance belts cuz 944 is equipped with intereference engines.
