freon?

how many pounds of freon does it take to fill up a 92t supra? i need mines recharged and this shop i found said there gonna charge me by how many pounds it needs. my ac system still working fine jus no cold air is blowing out so i guess im completely out

Well i asume its R134a cuz under the hood it say max pounds on the R12 system is 1.65 and a min of 1.35 and i know they dont weight the same. I was told 1.45 of R134a should be enough

650 cc of r134 (22oz) ^ it is NOT the same amount as r12. r12 is up to 27 oz.

What difference does it make? You're not doing this yourself and the shop can easily determine the amount. If you really want AC you'll pay whatever it ends up coming out to. Sheesh...

If a shop is doing it, and doesn't have the means to determine amount themselves, I'd go elsewhere.

No kidding. You won't last long here if you can't take a little. Plus, it's true. If they don't know the conversion for how much to put in, they probably aren't competent enough to work on AC. I know I wouldn't let em work on mine, thats for damn sure.
