Not necessarily, Owners manual calls for 89...

There is shimming the wastegate, and the AFM screw mod. Open downpipe is always fun too.

What year? pretty sure mine says 89+
All I can find online is euro octane ratings, and my manuals all the way out in the garage haha.

cut off exhaust, shim wastegate and take out the air cleaner.

Pretty much it as far as "free"

AFM screw wont do anything for power and neither with anything else really besides cutting off the exhaust.

The screw mod allows more air past the AFM, which allows more boost before fuel cut. 1 or 2 more psi will add more power. Taking out the air filter? That's just unsafe. The filter is one of the least restrictive components in the stock intake system anyway.

a supra isnt a dsm, where the owners are shooting for 400 hp off $100. Then they wonder why their car is having problems all the time. Stop trying to be cheap.....

Dunkel, you funny.... :biglaugh:

Only works for OBD2, anyway.

I would like to point out that, contrary to what that add says, we mechanics charge ridiculous($40 at my shop) to check codes for a couple of reasons. Mainly, I had to pay $7k for my scanner. It'll do a little more than read codes...

like every body else said shim the wastegate,If you stock down pipe is in good shape cut the cat out gut it and weld it back in(also works on your secound cat),and advance the timing.

My supra is a 87 turbo and the manual says to run 87 octane or 91 for extra performance lol but i never have never ran anything but 91

A free dinner is not a good dinner ; supra known as restricted intake and exhaust . Either leave it stock or save some cash and get 3" turbo back and free flow intake , do it once and do it right so you won't be sorry later on .
