Found a few errors in TEWD, 2jz -> MKIII

I am in the process of re-verifying every single line going into and out of my 2j's ecu.

In the process I have discovered an error, 2 actually in the Engine control TEWD. To make matters worse, I have 2 different PDF's that conflict as far as information goes.

And no, this is more than just differences between generations of 2JZ's and pins, or atleast I am 99% certain it is.

Specifically I am tracing the ecu to ignitor pins. The first PDF I have to refer to incorrectly states that ECU pin #58, which is IGF (ignitor feedback), should be routed to the ignitors pin #3.

Unfortunately it also states that ECU pin#55, which is IGT3 (ignitor #3), should be routed to the ignitors pin #3.

Also it seems to assign the color black for wiring color legend to both "B" and also to "L". I believe that "L" should be assigned to Blue.

Can someone physically verify or comment on what pin on the ignitor the ECU's pin#58 should be run too? Please and thankyou!

I have uploaded the ignitor wiring setup for the Toyota cars and is the same as the 3jzgte/1jzgte etc.

The wire color may differe between Supra Harness, Arsito Harness.
Maks esure you are looking at the correct year wiring diagrams as well since Aristo Harness may have same/similar pins but a different color than a Supra.
Pre 1996 model 2jzgtes may have difference with the 1996 and above car due to VVTI setup etc.

But from my experience, the Aristo ECu is identical to Supra ones in turms of the pinouts, give or take a few pins.

Also checkout the Aristo pinout I uploaded so you can check what pin is for the ignitors.

Nope the color legend is wrong for sure since I had originally printed just B&W pages for reference using the color codes for my reference messed me up, but when I printed the color pages the blue traces are referenced as L.

`m currently checking the ECU-----ignitor pin connections. I`ll post what I discover.

Read the diagrams better. #58 goes to 3B, #55 goes the 3A.

The ignitor has 2 clips.

I have no idea what harness you have.
My 95 TSRM states the colors for #58 R-Y and #55 GR-B
My 98 TSRM states the colors for #58 R-Y and #55 LG

Ok, finally sorted the coil pack situation out and in fact my pdf file was incorrectly stating that pin#58 should be routed to ignitor pin 3 A. This should be corrected to be pin 3 B, or as tissmo correctly points out here, pin 3 on the second pigtail.

The color legend is also verified to be incorrect, "L" should be interpreted as meaning Blue as it's color designation and not "Black" as the legend incorrectly states it is. "B" is correctly designated and Black.

On another side note I guess this really makes the point that we need to be damn sure of our sources when getting these files of the internet. Yet another file I have found does not show any resistor pack at all for the fuel injectors which I now understand would likely burn up your injector channels in the ECU. Luckily I seem to have ducked this bullet. (Thanks Figgie! even though we got cut off when the server went down your breif help was great and much appreciated)
