Hey Im new to this site I own a 90 7mgte, After Market Intercooler and piping, T-70 turbo, 50mm wastegate, forged interals, NA cams, 550cc injectors, and walbro 255 pump. The issue that Im having is I rebuild the motor a few months ago and the car keeps fouling out the plugs I think. Well at leat thats what I think is going on because if I put new plugs the car will run great for a few weeks and the car will start sputting under boost. Ive check just about everything I could think of, AFM replaced, knocked sensors rewired, ignitor replaced, coil pack replaced, and fuel pump relay replaced. The only thing that fixes the problem is to get new plugs. Any advice would be great thanks.

1. what type of plugs are you running?
2. what are your air/fuel ratios at?
3. do you have an after market fuel pressure regulator, and what pressure are u running?
4. what kind of fuel controller are you using?
5. what do the plugs look like when you replace them?
6. any other relevant info you can think of?

What meta said. I assume he means fouling out with carbon from being excessively rich. Did you bypass the J-tube restriction when you put in that big pump?

I havent messed with the J-tube its stock still as well as the fuel pressure regualtor. The plugs are dry when i go to replace them, also the arms on the plugs are a brownish black. I change plugs today and # 5/6 the electrode was a rust color( orange brownish). Ive used some varies brands of cooper plugs about 5 to 6 sets. Not sure of the A/Fs yet no wideband till tomorrow. I know its rich though the exshaust smells like not super bad though at idle and driving also shoots flames time to time. Other info is there is a slight miss at idle and when i do put new plugs the problem is fixed for a few weeks. Oh one more thing before the rebuild the car never did this ( ive own this car for about 3or4 years now.)

I am jumping out on a limb here but i do believe the problem is in supporting mods being non existent. Need to get a afpr and bypass j-tube, also are you running the lex afm housing with pump and injectors? Is there any smoke? I dont think a brown plug is fuel fouled. but may be wrong.

When you check timing are you jumping the diag block?
