Redline at $8.95 a quart. Makes a huge difference. That is one of the first things i did to my supra and my truck. Use it for both the tranny and the differential
$14 sounds about right, if you tell them you're a whole seller sometimes you can get it cheaper but redline makes great stuff too
I forgot to mention Royal Purple...some people use that.

You actually want both...Ford 75W-90 does not have the friction modifier required for an LSD in it. (Red Line and RP does).
And yes, the Ford stuff is expensive...like most things you get at the dealer
NAPA now sells the exact same friction modifier as Ford. I'll try to remember to get the name of it tomorrow.
I just changed my diff fluid last monday, and it takes a little over 1.5 quarts.
So, buy 2 quarts of bulk 75w90 from Ford ($16/qt here), + their friction modifier (~$7), and I would suggest picking up a small hand pump from Advanced ($12), so you can pump the fluid in yourself, while laying under the car.
Mine was pretty straight forward, I'm not sure anyone has mentioned this in this thread, but make sure you crack the FILL plug before you drain the diff!! Some are on real tight and the plugs round off easily, so it is easy to be screwed with an empty diff, a rounded/stripped plug, and no way to fill it!!
Be ready for a stinky garage, or in my case, a stinky outside area lol.

How often do you guys recommend changing when using synthetic oils compared to mineral oils?
Right now I have the Ford LSD additive with Castrol 80W90 Hypoc C gear oil (I think it's mineral type oil). And I've had it in there for about 30 000kms now and I just checked the maintenance schedule and it says every 48 000kms.
