Hah. Well it has some good power. and its turbo. + its not tooooo powerfull. And its illegal! Woot

The SR would be a better engine to put into the car, but would it be a better engine to put into the car for him? A turbo RWD car in the hands of a 16 year old may not be the best idea. I would suggest you leave the KA in there until he's learned to handle the thing, then if he wants more power, you can teach him how to swap an engine.

Anyways, to the OP, you said that the SR20 you got wasn't turbocharged either? I wonder if it would be worth putting into the 240. If it's anything like the 2JZ-GE vs -GTE, the SR20 N/A may not be that strong of an engine to turbocharge. If that were the case, you my be better off putting the KA back in there and selling the SR.
Does anybody know if NA SR blocks are as strong as Turbo ones?

They can put out some very good power... But standard arent that impressive.
my mate has one in his drift car, forged internals, mild cams, gt2871r etc, hes making around 260kw@w on fairly low boost and with a low revlimit.
