What clutch are you guys using and how much power are you making? I am about to swap a 7mgte and use my w58 but i have searched and cant find any info on which clutch i should use. I know i have to use a 7mge push type clutch but which one is right for me? I plan to keep the motor basically stock for a while and maybe up the boost to around 11 or 12 psi eventually. I have a 3" dp and 2.5" cat back and an air filter but other than that it is stock. (Stock inter cooler and piping etc) Any suggestions are welcome!

Im useing a custom made 6 puck unsprung metal pads on a 1800lb prssure plate on my 1uz supra, this setup will stand up to about 500 ft/lbs. way more then your proposing.

I was running about 300rwhp/300tq through my w58 w/ a Fidanza Lightweight Flywheel and Clutchmasters Stage 3 full face carbon/kevlar disc clutch. Pedal felt exactly like stock, absolutely no chatter, feels excellent.

Haven't had the car on the road in a while. I ran it like that for quite some time, and I have a very, very heavy right foot, and a very aggressive left foot. ;)

Im currently running a spec stage 3+,fidanza flywheel, id say im around 340whp.It feels like my old stock setup but i do get some low rpm chatter especially when the clutch is hot and sticky. I think you will be hard pressed to find a clutch for the w-58 that holds power under $200

sounds like i am running about the same setup as what you are planning on running, i have a clutchmasters stage 2 with the stock flywheel(w58), it holds fine and there is no chatter whatsoever. not sure what its rated or price.

Oh, just for the record, I only dyno'd on my stock CT-26 and got the above numbers @ 15psi. I later upgraded to a single BB 60mm CT-26 from MDC, and at 15psi my car absolutely screamed. Just guessing, but with the amount of power I had before the new turbo and after, I'd say it was at least a 70-80rwhp gain. That would put me near 400rwhp.

Clutch held just fine.

i've got a centerforce dual friction clutch. i'm running around 11psi right now with a 3" turbo back exhaust, ic pipes, and intake. the clutch holds great and i'm only planning on making a little over 300hp with it. the clutch is only $350 on some sites.

dont use the centerforce dual friction i have one on a 7mge non turbo w/ the w58 and i have completely grenaded it to smitherines twice the only reason i keep using it is because they keep warantying it for free the last one only got like 2000 miles on it before turning into a pile of dust in my opinion act is the best hands down for any street aplication

wow how you driving it.

I apparently have a "centreforce";not sure the model. I put tons of hard driving it when i was na held good. Turbo'ed her and so far so good, even HARDER driving and no slippage/smells, feels strong. soon to find out how she's gonna take to 11-13PSI :evil2::evil2:
