/\ That's between you and sammydafish... you know if I saw your name in the link, I'd have given you credit.

Good advice on that firewall blankie. I guess I'll put that back in when I reassemble :p

BTW: those tack welded mesh reinforced rear sections suck ass to remove.

no pics???

i wanna see how "cool" it looks

not bashing man just curious, call this experiment of yours an opportunity to lay down some thin black carpet and some recaro's, weld a roll bar and just cover the rest of the metal with some black fabric. you could make your car look better than it did before.

I'm gonna get a new carpet for the front, and custom carpeting from that up into the hatch.

It'll be clean and tasteful.

I see the purpose to removing the unusable rear seat, but I would have a upholstery place recarpet over where they were or something to that affect, and leave everything else. the weight difference isn't big enough to really make a difference unless you get extreme with it, at least not at the average supras power levels. anyways thats what i plan on doin, just my .02

I personally LOVE mint, stock, unmolested interiors. I understand how some people can gut their mk3 interiors because they have another car to use as a DD. My mk3 is my only means of transportation so i'd like the interior to be as comfortable as possible. That means no leaks, no tears, no noise, no stains. Unfortunately, i have all of those.

my car was gutted for 4 months once. from the driver's seat back was bare metal. then i bought a really nice condition gray cloth interior, and put it in. my car looks like crap from the outside, but everyone says: "wow, it's NICE in here!" :)
