DONT DO IT!!!

unless your making an all out race car it is really not worth it, i like everyone else ignored everyone elses warnings not to do it and its not that great. The girls hate it, friends cant ride, magnifies every little sound from the firewall back and do i need to say it again, its HIDEOUS. BTW i have everything stripped from the drivers seat back and ALL the carpeting, why you ask? i get bored and i do stupid stuff(trust me i've done worse), this is just a rant for those thinking of gutting there Sup, oh and getting rid of the AC was not worth it at all either. Your probably going to ask me why i dont just put it all back in, it wouldnt fit the same, i lost some bolts, alot of pieces cracked and my seats were fucked. So i figure if i have an ugly ass interior i need to have a bitchin engine and suspension.....................

the only plus is that someone will look in it to possibly break in and be like, fuck no look at this piece of shit, and that this gives me an excuse to finally tint my windows hella dark so you can see less of it from the outside.

i don't know about you, but it's cool enough up here year round that the A/C just isn't justified. That's what the targa and windows are for. Far as the interior, I don't mind it being gutted. All the plastic back there serves me no purpose save a bit of sound muffling, which I never cared about either.

it also means there's a lot less to break and get pissed over back there

maybe im letting my stupid friends and co-workers(who all bag on me) get to me :dunno: . oh well, yeah Yellow13 your the person i originally saw with a gutted Supra and just did it one day, if im already this far though what should i do to get the TAR off its a pain in the ass, there has to be something in an aerosol(sp) can that will weaken or soften that shit up, i've heard of the dry ice method but i aint doin that crap.

...and when I move down south the heat will make up for my lack of a heater core. Not to mention I'll have a nice, big, open space to have myself a Carputer...no lugging around a laptop to tune the EMS for me!

I'd like to know that too...especially that PITA stuff on the rear towers that's reinforced with metal. Ended up with a piece of that through my little finger, god that hurt!

I left the sound deadening in the floor in my car. You guys piqued my interest so I just went out and pulled about half of the drivers side up.

Took maybe 10 minutes with a hammer and screw driver.

My Legacy is pretty well gutted, no carpet, and I just broke up the loose sound deadener... It's loudER, but not LOUD.
I have an exhaust too... IDK.. maybe it just doesn't bother me.
Too late for my Supra anyway
