for all who converted to a mechanical waterpump...

did you guys change out that little pipe too... that connects to the top of the waterpump??? its gotten me concerned cuz now that i've fired up the care not knowing it was leaking and its comming from that one little spot.... and well i cant start my car cuz it leaked onto my alternator, so it kinda fried it i guess... i was wondering if there was any differences in the size meaning how long its suppose to be because it seems a little short.. is the one off the mk4's different or is it the same??? Heres a picture showing what im talking about...

i used the old one (unless it comes with the a new on on the new pumps).. just put new o-rings on it..

You probably just need new o-rings

yeah, everytime I have to remove that pipe, I get unlucky and have to change the o-ring.

Same here i used the one from the 1jz with new o-rings with no problems.

ok... so far i see no leaks... YESS.... but still i have to get a new alternator again... so NO!!! oh wells... glad thats over with now... :icon_bigg

I used the O ring and coated in a little RTV You dont want this thing to leak when your done do you know how much work it is to get the water pump apart.

but i didnt even have to touch the waterpump tho.. its that little pipe that sits right on top of it and connects to the upper rad hose pipe... what a b!tch to put back on was that stupid gasket that goes in between the block and that pipe where it comes rushing out flowing back to the rad...
