Don't worry about missing the boat. You'll get old a whole lot slower than you think you will.

When a choice appears, always try to think about it in terms of what you may regret in 10 years.

And always try to take 5 minutes every day, stop, and think about how you are really enjoying what you are doing *right now*, and remember that life is here to be enjoyed.

PS: This is my 5 minutes today. :D

coming up on the big 25 and:
still paying of the school loans
realizing a BA is not enough
hangovers suck
the coffee is never strong enough
and how on earth am i going to pay for grad school

Truth be told, its your life. The grass always seems greener, but i often see its because of the mounds of shit that are spread around, not because its 'better.' The only advice i can give (some that i need to follow myself): If you don't enjoy what your doing today and have no desire to change tomorrow, then yesterday will always seem a little better than now. There are always what if's ( i have my share) but loathing about yesterday does nothing to improve tomorrow.

Don't know if that helps, but have some fun. Your only in your 20's for so long...

Well guys its official, Im the big 25 come monday.

Scary huh?
Any who, for all those that are 25 and up, have any of you ever felt like you missed the boat or you're behind schedhule in life like you should be further along of some sort?
I mean the woman that Im with - I LOVE WITH ALL MY HEART and she doesn't bitch, complain, or pout. She's not what Im talking about, and I can't wait to marry her.
What Im talking about is seeing all your old HS peers doing this, doing that. Successful job this, kid that, married this.
Sometimes I feel like I missed the boat by not going to college....
Not that Im unhappy with my life right now... I have a wonderful job, a wonderful boss (me) and a very loving almost scary perfect woman just sometimes wonder u know?
Any body catching what Im throwing? Is this a quarter life chrisis lol?
BTW Im listening to Dynamite Hack "Boys in the hood" lol.

I felt exactly like that at 25. I only had my GED, and I couldn't stay in school long enough to get my AA even though all I had left was my gen ed classes to get my electrical engineering degree. I thought I could never EVER afford a house in CA and I even moved back in with my mom for 6 months at 24 after being on my own since I was 17. I hated my job. But every day opportunities to succeed will come your way. Somehow between then and now I managed to get married, get two of my favorite cars built how I like(supras obviously), buy my grandparents 3 bedroom house with a pool and fully remodel the whole thing, and quit the job I hated and start up a small business. I still have a long way to go, and mine is not a success story yet, but I think the best thing I could have done was to not worry so much back then. Everything works out if you just work hard and do your best.

i'm bad, i'm nationwide
dont know.only 31 have no words of wisdom yet

at my grandmothers funeral last summer i was talking to my aunt
she brought up that i was the only uneducated grandchild of the bunch, even though everyone had always considered me to be the brightest. i thought about it, had cousins in rteal estate, finincial services, and education, and i'm the "lowly" truck driver. i realized that even though my station in life is lower than theirs, i make more money than most of them, and most inportantly,i am far happier than all of them.

the ant looked at me and said i could have been anything i wanted to be in life...i thiught about it for a minute...and the only reply i had for her was....

i am

i think happiness is in finding your niche in life...or i coulds justy be wrong..i'm not sure

I am 26, the good thing about being 26th is every year, the high school girls stay the same age :) as I get older ;) aight peace :chicken:

And if they don't do what you want you say, "Quit acting so immature" because she already knows that she's too young and doesn't want to look not cool so of course she'll go along.

I've missed the boat a few times, but aside from losing friends and family, I'd
choose this way again. I'm going from here . Be glad you don't have
student loans to pay off. Your best life choice is to stay as much out of debt
as possible, maybe only going into it if you KNOW it's going to make you a ton
of cash.
