Well guys its official, Im the big 25 come monday.

Scary huh?

Any who, for all those that are 25 and up, have any of you ever felt like you missed the boat or you're behind schedhule in life like you should be further along of some sort?

I mean the woman that Im with - I LOVE WITH ALL MY HEART and she doesn't bitch, complain, or pout. She's not what Im talking about, and I can't wait to marry her.

What Im talking about is seeing all your old HS peers doing this, doing that. Successful job this, kid that, married this.

Sometimes I feel like I missed the boat by not going to college....

Not that Im unhappy with my life right now... I have a wonderful job, a wonderful boss (me) and a very loving almost scary perfect woman just sometimes wonder u know?

Any body catching what Im throwing? Is this a quarter life chrisis lol?

BTW Im listening to Dynamite Hack "Boys in the hood" lol.

Its all good, Jon. I'm only 19 but I work at a golf course in a VERY rich neighborhood and if I was blind I would think it was a ghetto. Theres so much crime in that neighborhood its not even funny. Money ain't everything and working in a place where the smallest house is 800k has proved that to me all the more. Right now I am counting the days til I can get out of school and marry my girlfriend and just settle down.

hey man don't let it get you down... I'm only 21 soon to be 22 but I started college 2yrs late and now all of my buddies are graduating and starting up their careers and it sux... c\ I'll still be going to college for at least another 4yrs... but I know I gotta get it done... college isn't for everyone though... and especially right out of highschool... I think that over 35% of freshman here at KU flunk out their first year...

Oh Jon... You still need to hire me as full-time help, so I can get out of this BS. I wake up just about everyday asking myself... "why...?" and I don't really have an answer to justify it. I would MUCH rather be working on a car somewhere than doing this hospital gig. Sure in 18 months when I graduate, provided I can pass my boards, the money will be good, but I know I'm not going to be happy. This isn't what I wanted to do, and I can't do what I want. If you're doing what you've wanted to do, be thankful. I'd give anything for a chance at my dream...

Besides, it could be worse. You COULD live in Westport. :icon_conf

First off that song rocks. I'm turning 21 end of this month and I know the feeling. Everyone bugs me and tells me to go to college but right now I don't want too and anyways I have no idea what I would take if I did go. I wanna do something I enjoy doing, not something that'll just be a job.

Sometime I do feel like I should just go and get it over with, but then I just don't really know if I want too.

Hey man Im picken up what your putten down!!! 31 and way not grown up yet. My wife and I are having our first child!!! I see other 30+ and they are all adult and responsible. I am not ready to ever buy the minivan. I think its personal choice to never grow up. I have a collage degree, a good job, a wonderfull marriage and a morgage. Everyone I work with thinks that having a new baby will make me grow up. They can all bite me. Life is about choices. I choose to live life on my own terms making good decisions and bad. I do know that everytime I get behind the wheel of the supra with the top off and the stereo up I am the happiest I could ever be. That to me is what life is about.

Sounds like you have everything you need! I know what you mean though. I turned 25 last year and bought my supra cuz I remembered how much I liked it back in high school. I call it my quarter life car. My buddy just bought a vette, its definetly a quarter life car, I can't wait to smoke him :)

I don't regret not going to college, hell, I'd still be paying off student loans. Also out of all my friends that went to college, I make more than all of em and I play in the dirt all day :biglaugh: These arent communications grads either, Gov't health inspector, mech. engineer at boeing and a CPA.

All you missed at college was some drunk college girls and herpes.

I'd say forget about how old you are. 25...50. As long as you're happy, and doing what you love to do that's all that matters. I'm a whopping 21, work at a job that is pretty decent, don't get paid very much at all. But every day when I leave work I'm in a good mood, because I've got a 15 minute drive to spend with my supra.

You are your own boss and I'm sure you love what you do, you have somebody that you love that loves you back and you're happy with her. Life is good. I never went to college even though everybody told me I should. I don't know what I want to do...all I know is that I love working on cars (well...most cars) and do so pretty often for very cheap. If I do end up going to school, it will be for cars in one form or another.

In my opinion..you've got everything needed, somebody you loev, a job you love, and a gift in automotives. Perfection at its finest.
