yellow, white. why hids in the fogs? your going to be blinding everyone you pass. fog lights are for the fog not for seeing.

i've got HID fogs in a few of my cars, and if aimed properly (which 90% of people dont do) they wont blind oncoming traffic.

On a red MkIII the best color fog lights are one red and one blue. Make sure you make them flash though as that is the best and will really get you noticed - it is a great way to pick up dates.

Seriously though. Do you guys even know what fog lights are for? HID for your fogs? What a waste of money. Fog lights are meant to have a very short throw.

HID driving lights is another story - but is illegal to drive with these on in traffic - think "should only come on when you are using your brights". Get a nice set of driving lights and mount them in the grill and you'll be set.

What's the big deal with replacing fog lights with driving lights? I don't think the location of the light being a bit low would make them illegal or useless. Aimed properly they should be just fine as driving lights.

I guess the OP should have worded things different and not called them fog lights.

intensity and throw are independent of eachother, as you can increase intensity and aim the throw so it is still a foglight.

hell even Hella makes HID foglights, but they're ~$500-700+

I have 6000k hid's in my fog lights . The lights themselves are Projectors for a toyota windom/Lexus es300. They have a nice clean cut off at about knee height. They are bright enough that if I chose I wouldn't need head lights. I am going to change to a 3000k because the 6000 with the yellow lense makes it somewhat green and I think that they might be Illegal. I will post pics toniote once it gets dark

Did you make custom brackets for those fogs? I have a pair, but haven't had a chance to mount em on yet...

Actually it was super easy.
I switched sides.
I then turned them 180 and redrilled, Used a piece of metal tube with bolts long enough to have sit in pockets trimed off extra and repainted black.

If you need me to I can disassemble them real quick and take more pics.
