they all have a separate fog light switch, in stock form, you can turn them off while the headlights are on, but you can not turn the fogs on without the headlights being on. the rewire allows you to turn on the fogs with no headlights involved.
...umm on my car the fogs were the daytime running lights. so they were on if the headlights were down but i could leave them on if the headlights were up or turn them off. my car was stock in the lighting department and the fogs were always on if the headlights were down no matter what. i was under the impression this was to pass the canadian rule that all cars needed daytime running lights. my corolla is the same way
that may be the case in canada, i have no clue. i know there are cars with daytime running lights but i don't think they started that until the mid 90"s.

hmm. i bought it off some old guy who had it since new but maybe he did do something. it was a 92 so maybe it was changed. interesting thing to know. i'll have to look and see if the other supras around here have thier fogs on and the lights closed. thanks for the info
