ok so i did the very sweet looking fog llight mod and it worked great for about 4 weeks. then, out of nowhere it just stopped working, both sides.

i've checked the wiring, bulbs and wiring and it all checked out ok.

i'm kinda guessing that it might be the switch itself. has anybody ever run onto this problem?

thanks

What fog light mod??

Edit: For some reason i couldnt think of a fog light mod last night. Even though i have it done on my car. You could have wired it wrong and it eventually burnt out .

if you did the re-wire incorrectly and ran the power through the switch instead of the relay, that would cause your switch to burn out. do a continuity test on the switch in the on position, and the off.

listen for the relay clicking when you turn on the switch.

I have read all the fog light mods and I was wondering had any one wired the fog lights into a totaly different switch. I have them wired like this on my truck and it works great. Just put a fuse on the 12v source.

i used an external relay mounted in the engine bay, and wired the ground for the relay through the factory switch. works great. i also upgraded the wiring, and was running 100w bulbs in them.

now i just need to make the light in the fog switch light up, as it annoys me that it doesn't. i'll fix that when the car is drivable again. :)
