I've been lurking for the better part of a year, and figured its about time I introduced myself. Well, actually, there was a message at the top of my screen that said "Post or BE GONE!!" :aigo:
I have been a Toyota fanatic since the mid 90's and have owned many. Just recently I got the bug to build something fast with a turbo for around $10k. I bought an 89 Cressida with plans of putting in a ~500hp 7MGTE.
Those plans were crushed (literally) when I was rear ended by a Honda Civic at 35mph. The guy who hit me had no insurance, no license, AND the car was not his. As pissed as I was about my car, I couldn't help but smile as the cop on the scene cuffed him and threw him in the back of the squad car.
As for my current plans, I just don't know. I do have a 7MGTE long block on an engine stand in my garage with a R154 sitting next to it. I really like the idea of the Cressida sleeper, but the MKIII will hold its value better. OR, my 4Runner could always use more power :naughty: . For now I'm going to be saving up money for whatever project excites me.
