So a shop is installing an ACT HD pressure plate for the mkiii turbo onto a 1jz flywheel.

The stock R154 flywheel bolts for the mkiii turbo should work right?

We don't have any and we're trying to order some, but here's the problem...

the shop found that Toyota says that they "cross-reference" with the mkiv bolts which are only about 3/4-1 inch long and they are not long enough to reach through the thick ACT pp to the 1jz flywheel...we've tried these and it doesn't reach.

it's weird that the stock bolts won't work for a part that should fit the stock application

it's weird because when i called toyota, the guy asked me if these bolts are 1.5" thick and i said yes, that's the one, but when the shop ordered those, they were apparently "cross-referenced" with the shorter mkiv bolts...which obviously don't reach

are they just confused? should i get ARP bolts? ACT bolts? does anyone have part numbers?

the part # i have for the stock 7mgte r154 supra turbo flywheel bolts is 90119-08-782

thanks for the help since something seems to be wrong here

Ahh, yeah, pressure plate bolts

(which is what Aaron @ Driftmotion also corrected me on too heh)

maybe that's why the shop and i couldn't get the right bolts lol but still...the stock ones should work w/ act kits that are made for that application mkiii supra turbo 88-92...right?

I can't speak specifically for ACT but on my Spec I used new OEM bolts and they worked fine, plenty long enough.

Ok so I kinda got the same problem, I got an aftermarket clutch and flywheel.. I forget the names right now.. but the bolts aren't long enough, the pressure plate is actually thicker than stock and so is the flywheel.. so i need a 1 1/4 inch long bolt, any ideas where i can get those.. Thanks.
