I'm running a complete stock 7mgte and i keep hearing a fluttering sound from the diverter valve, does that mean it's not opening all the way? i'm pretty sure i don't have a boost leak because the psi holds constant. any ideas?

If you have the stock air box intake more then likely your bov went out and you are hearing compressor surge.

^Yup. If that's your stock BPV (bypass valve) it's toast and needs replacement.
You can use a Bosch BPV as the easiest replacement. That's what I ended up doing and it's been great.
