I've heard good things about this...

http://ucoatit.com/pgs/main.htm

I tried the stuff from Menards made by Rustoleum products.

Basically I called Rustoleum and told them to come get their shit off my garage flood because it was exactly that - SHIT.
Needless to say they told me to go pound sand.

If you really want a good epoxy floor, call in a contractor that specializes in such floor coating.
You know, I've never understood where that came from. Who pounds sand???

Anyhow, I'll look into our area and see if there even *is* a contractor for this sort of thing around here. If so, I might be able to get some of their materials to work with... maybe.

I did the floor at Bevill State Community College in the mechanics department with a Tile Clad Epoxy from Sherwin Williams. It's a two part A and B epoxy. I believe it cost me 85.00 for a gallon of each which makes two gallons and will probably cover about 400-500 sq. ft. It's lasted for two years already and that's with them having class in it four days a week with lots of foot traffic and lots of cars being pulled in and out every day.
It rolls on with a 9" roller, but make sure you wear a mask because the smell is horriffic while installing it. Good luck.

Thanks for the experience, I believe we have a SW shop around here, now that you mention it. Could it really smell any worse than 75w90? I'd probably wear a respirator working with anything that wasn't water based anyway, but I'm more or less immune to bad smells anymore.

Also, talked with mom last night, she knows her stuff about paint (lot of experience and love of the job there haha), and she recommended the Rustoleum over the Behr that's readily available.

I can't comment on the Behr but I have used the Rustoleum and I can't recommend it at all. Poor wear life and chips easily.

Thank you sir. So, it seems that Rustoleum and Behr are out due to all your bad experiences. Anyone have a bad experience with the SW stuff, in case I can't get anything commercial grade?

Thanks. I made a suggestion. It's up to him to make up his own mind.

No lines at all. It goes on really thick and it doesn't chip. It's an industrial strength product made for industrial floors. The floors at the college have hundreds of kids on them a week and it hasn't chipped yet.

As for the smell......it's not that it stinks. It will give you a splitting migraine infested eye popping head ache.

Mr. Freak, I'm not just a carpenter. I'm in the construction business. I do my own wiring, plumbing, painting, vinyl, and painting. I know a lot about a lot. I do happen to swing a hammer pretty good too though, so I am a carpenter at times. I'm a jack of all trades and master of none.

Cool sounds like good stuff:) and I assumed you did more than carpentry( like when you installed the floor you were talking about) I just thought it was a funny statement sorry if my comment didn't come across that way

Just to be clear I'm making NO comments about Behr, I've never used it or know anyone that has so I can't comment on it. Thr Rustoleum, on the other hand, I have used myself and I'm not impressed.

No worries John, I've heard enough about the Behr to sway me away from it. They make good paint though. :)

I dunno if it was mentioned in here, but have discussed this with my mom before (the peeing from hot tires). Her solution? Floor mats that you'd usually use *inside* the car. Put one on each corner, no more peeling from hot tires on cold treated floor problem. :)

Yeah but u shouldn't have to park on mats if your paying that much money for a floor coating might as well put a piece of cardboard down for oil drips imo :/

I agree, but is there a substance of this nature for this use that can withstand that kind of temperature shock?
