89+ 7MGTE ECU pinout. 5 Speed. I am giving up on the search feature. Can't find the damn thing anywhere.

I have a Code 11 and I need to jump +12V to my B+ pin to see if that is causing my "almost start" problem. Thus I need the pinout for my ECU.

Thanks.

Dude seriously.... the simple search button would have pulled this... or if you would have went into what section this request would be in (MKIII Supra Reference/Tech-Tips) and halfway down the page? Wow!! And you used the what? The search button??!! haha.... wow I'm really high...:sarcasm:

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78080 BAM!

Just what I asked for! a good flaming, then what I need.

I did use the search. I seached for "ECU pinout", then "ECU diagram", "ECU pin diagram", "ECU wiring diagram", and then I think I gave up.

: )

congradulations on your intoxication. bwahaha

I wouldn't flame for this post, to be honest.

He tried to search. We all know the information is here, but the location isn't as easy to find as you might think. Shifty found it because he knows where to look, not how to manipulate the search engine.

He used a meaningful thread title.

He explained what he needed it for, and what steps he had already taken to try to find it.

He posted all the required relevant information.

This is how to get your questions answered. Even if I didn't know the answer off the top of my head, I'd be willing to do some research to help this guy. Of course, I don't have to, because he got an answer in 39 minutes, probably because he asked in the right way!

PS: The reason your searches didn't find what you needed is due to a limitation on length of search terms. Anything under 4 characters gets ignored. The easy workaround for this is to make your short words longer by adding a wildcard to the end - so ECU becomes ECU*, for instance.

That is very useful. I thought I remembered a huge list of exceptions to the 4 charicter rule... like all of toyota's codes (dtc codes), and then some other initialisms (BOV, FPG, IAC, etc). But I will add wildcards to be sure next time. Now for a more difficult thread...

For the short terms, I usually just put it in quotes.

Search: ["ECU" pinout] instead of [ECU pinout]

:dunno: [strike] seems to work for most stuff, but sometimes what you're looking for just wont show up in search...[/strike]

Edit: Well I just tried that to find the ECU pinout and it was failing miserably. The * seems to work much, much better.
