After reading several threads where Ideal, Qwick, Shaeff and the many other veterans being exasperated with answering that question. 52 is not whether it has knocked once or a plethora, it is the status of KS circuit.

Hi
I had every problem in the world before i got it right.
with the risk of sounding like a real dumbass ill write them all,cut and try really...

first of,cable broke.i fixed it,Mind you car is an 88 so the back sensor got a little demolished.no problem, made a little wire so it was without the connector, only wire came out of the sensor.
still no good.
well hell, check ecu plugs, found out that the pins have mooved while ive checked and measured resistance,ok bend then back.
still no good.
ok,change wire again.
nope and it still cant hear the sensor.
well fuck it,moved the rear sensor to an identical threaded plug in the middle of the block, yes I know not the right place but this shit was getting to me,so I had all the shit i could handle.placed a faultless ks and made the wire end plug in the correct form for it to fit on.no shit Einstein it worked after a year of headache.

I tried also changing ecu sensor and every fucking thing.man I was happy after all this.

Maybe its like dr jonez shortly said:"rewire it correctly"
Pissed me of but he's right
nothing else should disturb it's functions

Is there a method of checking the signal from the knock sensor?
What I am thinking is if we could put a meter on the ECU end and then tap on the engine with say, a hammer would we be able to see a voltage at the the end of the wire harness, that way it would be 100% certain to be fixed.
I suffer from the same problem, recurring stored code 52. I just checked the front sensor rewire and it checks 100% or at least the wire does. what is still missing is if the sensor is making contact with the wire and if the sensor is good. So now I will check the rear wire but in the end even if the wire is 100 % good I can still have a problem. Anybody know how to check for KS signal?

Thanks
Steve
