I've been having 60 hour weeks at work for almost this entire month (I normally work 36), so tonight on my way home I decided to stop by the GoKart track. They were getting ready to close so I was racing by myself (place was empty except for staff and the 3 guys that were racing before me)!!!

I haven't been there in months and to be honest didn't think I was gonna be any better than my previous best 33.3. by the second lap I was at 33.1. I got really excited!!! They have a huge projection screen right after you cross the finish line, so I was able to see the time...

The numbers kept coming down as the tires got warmer...by the fourth lap I was at 33.0!!!

The sixth lap changed it all for me! I did a 32.8!!! This is hardcore stuff... you'll have to be in a race league and race all the time to be much better than that!!!

by the 10th lap I set my current record 32.7!!! I was fucking screaming thinking I was by myself so who gives a fuck! I heard echo and thought, SHIT, the attendant is gonna think I'm crazy :biglaugh:

So anyways, I'm fucking pumped!!! I'll probably go to the casinos right after this - I don't work again until after thanksgiving, so is all good :biglaugh:

I'm #6 for the entire day!!! #48 for the entire WEEK!!! I actually made the list by a hair!!!! I skipped being on the list for the month by .5 sec!!! Anyways, check out the pics...

It's those litttle mile stones that get us through life Miguel...........:biglaugh:

congrats on getting better. Now if you don't eat for a week, youll be in the low 31's. Gravity isn't my friend since I weigh about two hundred pounds. I do love go karts though. We went when we were at the Texas meet last year. We had a blast.

Weight is a hugeeeee factor when it comes to go karts - I usually have an advantage over my friends since I am so skinny :p

But hey, congratulations on improving your times - it shows your competitive spirit to want to do better.

Tough crowd last night at the Karts... From what I found out from talking to people, most go there every Monday for Monday madness... Some belong to the league as well...

The fastest for the night was warren wallace with a 31.3... The guy has been racing for a while and has been working at the place for 2 years... he gave me some pointers...

I raced 7 heats! each heat I did 13 laps and it was tough keeping up with the fast people and also overtaking the slow drivers... some slow you down as they don't follow the flags sometimes..

Anyways, My best time was 32.9... Couldn't beat my current record but my average improved by about a second!

I'll try and get to the track at least once a month...
