How long will it be down? Couple more hours...
(nah, I need to order a cometic and ARP studs first.. go get the head cut probably.)

I just pulled the head off this morning, and it's ROUGH.... I shot some video of it, it'll be on my youtube channel in a few minutes.

Cyl #6 got it the worst... but most of the water jackets are pushed out. (That's how ya do it!)

Bounty: I was on the 60-trim for about 2 years, then the 66mm for 1 and now the 4088 for about, I'd say, 4-5 months? (not sure anymore.)

That looks like about the same as what I did - 20+ PSI on a 60-1 CT, stock head gasket, ARPs to 75 foot pounds.

Killed it with detonation, same as you.

Bad news is, I also cracked three pistons... I suspect that detonation bad enough to push the gasket out that far is also more than the stock pistons can take.

Yeah, I just took the head off to see the gasket... the pretty much called it a day.

I should inspect the pistons too.

Might do that tonight.. I got nothing else to do.

Ali- I'll pm you.

good show.

i blew my replaced stock head gasket in less then 4 weeks at 14psi on the stock turbo.

my deck was not flat though

i found that out after my mhg didn't seal.

my stocker had stretched a few ring's furhter then that,

i still ran those pistons for awhile..

i prolly lost it to detenation, i was at the strip hittin fuel cut and i had ran the stripp backing out of the throttle keeping it form hitting fuel cut.

i lost it about 3/4 down the 1/4 and lost almost all power since burning coolant...

so eta on this build? Be cool like dave!

Well, looks like I'll be picking up some pistons in the next couple weeks... I just need to start accumulating parts.

I'll probably be done by May at the latest I'm supposing.

I guess I'll start a build thread once I get the stuff.
