I've decided to start this thread up to show some of the stuff I've been doing lately that doesn't fit the mould of motorsport and car shows that most people know I take heaps of photos of.... (OK... Maybe not so many people from here.... but there are a few who already know what I get up to)
I've been getting back into long exposure photography lately, went out on a Friday night a while ago and took a few photos... Dragged the missus and a mate of mine along to keep me company...
Anyway... here's some of the results...
Welshpool road in Lesmurdie, around 11pm, exposure of 4 minutes 30 seconds...
A quieter road just around the corner from the last shot, only 1 car in the shot this time, 4 minute exposure (I think)...
Out the back of Lesmurdie, this neglected sign is obscured by an overgrown hedge. There's a new sign on the neighbouring block. Exposure was 6 minutes 30 seconds, and it was still a little dark.
I wanted to try some flashlight painting, and here's one of the results... Exposure was almost 6 minutes and the railing and path leading onto Mundaring Weir were lit with a handheld spotlight. This was at about 2am and was the last shot before we decided to call it a night.
and there's a few more here:
