FFIM??????

Hey guys, what do i need to do to convert too a FFIM, i have seen a few setups where the alternator brackets is modified and i have seen it where it has not been touched. and how much work is involved in this modification.

ron r used to make and sell them but hes out of the game currently. A FFIM is a pretty complex conversion and it depends on what kind of sacrafices you are willing to make.

You could fab up one similar to IJ.'s design and only have to worry about the battery being moved. Just make sure you retain all the electronics that go on the stock manifold, mounted in a position where they are still functional (vacuum and water lines here), and you should be good to go.

Don't forget the throttle cable, you'll have to modify that to make it work with it's new location regarless of everything else.

Where exactly could i find maybe a picture or writeup or something about IJ.'S design?

PM Sethron71...he lives in your neck of the woods now (Richmond iirc). He does nice work on a FFIM...made me one fully customized to my needs and retained the AC. He's a pretty busy guy, but might be able to help you out...don't expect this kind of work to be cheap ;)
