what?

The difference between the 7m based TPS and every other run of the mil TPS is the inclusion of the IDL "switch" that is closed during 0% throttle deflection. .

Exactly. You can add a switch or you can make an adapter to fit the stock TPS.

^ Which shouldn't be an issue to do as there are already walkthroughs on here on how to make it, and make it work right ;).

I think Arz' idea is to make something "bolt on".

I for one would prefere the original TPS.

theres been a few that have put a 2.5/2.75 pipe on the manifold and welded it on like a ffim and then just weld on a block off plate for the original input... im probably going to do this before i buy a real ffim. i HAVE to have everything thats stock...

Arz,

I'm with Grim and a lot of the other guys here. I'd like to keep TPS, ISC, EGR provisions, etc. as well as keeping my A/C and Cruise. I also would buy a manifold even if it wasn't the most attractive as long as form followed function. As long as it works well, I don't care how it looks. It just needs to do it's job. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Waiting for my bonus for some of your sweet brakes!!! :)

I will only buy it if it IS the most attractive.

Yes, this is required.

OOOOOO.... I see Ummmmmmmmmmm.... The FFIM I bought from tubbie only has the one hole for it (stamped out of it on the bottom) and no funnel like shape to it like the OEM on has. I can not find a pic of the bottom but here is a pic from the top to give you a idea what i am talking about.

I was using a manifold made by a member on here, it used a 1UZ tb from a Lexus. It had provision for isc, no csi, had to relocate the alternator, no provision for a/c, used the stock tps. If a manifold could be made plug and play while using all the factory sensors, cruise, retain a/c, maybe just with battery relocation, that would be the shit! Of course a different i/c with opposing in/outs would have to be incorporated...hope to see a new product, I personally like the way a ffim cleans up the stock plumbing over the engine.

Keeping in mind it Arz, I don't think he has ever made anything that didn't look outstanding. That's why I'm not too worried about how it is going to look.

I know. I have a set of his valve covers on my desk just waiting for a FFIM to match...

It sounds to me like a manifold that maintains all stock provisions with only having to relocate the battery is a winning plan. I would absolutely buy that. I will keep my eyes peeled for this to be finalized.

negatron, no moving of the battery for me

I don't want to run the lines, have a good sealed box, vent it to the outside, and have a kill switch installed to pass tech at a track.

I'm with Poodles, i'm dying for a shortrunner FFIM with cold start, egr, etc as well as the stock battery location. Alternator relocation is perfectly fine for me.
