well, for the TB i am going with a Q45 unit - the output of which is adjustable to match the stock toyota one. I do have the 2j TB if all else fails - i had a look through both TSRMs and it seems as though the outputs are similar, that is a last resort though. As for the sensors...aside from the ISC which bolts up and the CSI which I will machine a mount for, there is nothing else to do.

damn... that's pretty nice, can you take a pic of it mocked up on a head/engine?

don't care if the alt isn't there on anything, just curious how it sits, I'm liking this idea as 2J manifolds aren't too expensive...

man, i've been thinkin on doin this but was worried about the tb linkage and sensors. didn't want to waste time and money on something that didn't work. but it seems as though you did your research. these adapters will be nice because they should also allow you to use aftermarket 2j intakes (virtual works and titan). keep me posted, interested to see what it looks like on engine or in car and eventual dyno results. good work man

This seems to be a very practical solution to FFIM conversion. Maybe I should corner the market on used MKIV manifolds.

lol exactly what i was thinking while reading this. have him make a bunch of flangs for you, then sell them w/ a MkIV mani as a "kit" and $$$. (I forsee the price of MKIV manis going up in the near futur.)

I forgot to post in this thread, but I wanted to mention what a FANTASTIC idea this is.

From an engineer's stand point, it fits perfectly.
It's simple, it's effective, and it's simple!

so are these for sale yet? whats taking so long :naughty:

sorry...life and rebuilding my car are getting in the way...

My only question, is if it flows okay being the angle of the plenum merge.

since i finished it by hand, there is a smooth-flowing path all the way though - I ended up taking some material out of the plenum and the lower runners to match the gaskets ensure as smooth of flow as possible.
