FFIM noises?

Hey guys.

Just wondering if any other people get a whistling sound with their FFIM.
Every time I crack the throttle, mine gives a howl...

The system has been pressurized, and no leaks are to be found... so I guess it has something to do with either the throttle body, or geometry of the manifold itself.

Anyway, just curious.

yes that will happen called buttel fly whisle happens alot even on stock cars

Mine really is the flat area pulsating Ryan I can stop the noise with my finger

I just turn the radio on it only does it at idle

Yeah, it's a stock TB.

Dave told me his TB does it, but it's an aftermarket TB.

No whistling here w/ ffim - heard lotsa Mustang guys bitch & moan about whistling, though ... seems to be hit & miss with them.

that TB looks like a polished version of the BBK 65mm that I have for my FFIM

Did you pressureize the FFIM or the entire system when it was bolted on Ive seen flanges warped causing a similar sound from not sealing properly to the head.

yeah mine whistles at idle (throttle cracked open) and at low throttle/hi vac situations. 10 in/vac and boost it doesnt whistle.

larry at sp said the ford isc ports on the bottom might be causing the whistle. so might try to fill those in instead of using a block off plate later down the road.
