i have the fcon running fairly successfully in my car but one thing i was curious about:
my vacuum is only -10inhg to -15inhg yet the car idles particularly well. Is this because the fcon uses a map sensor off the manifold so it's compensating for it?

I don't hear any gushing noises in the engine bay and i'm pretty positive i have sealed all vacuum lines but for some reason my vacuum is low
I'll get another look at it when the weather is better tho

any other ideas?

thanks :D

If there was a leak somewhere, you would notice the idle being higher than normal.

It also wouldn't affect vacuum that much because the leak would let in more air, which would cause the motor to spin faster, which would cause it to suck in more air, which would cause teh vacuum to raise up some more. It reaches an equilibrium at a higher RPM, but with a very similar vacuum reading.

If your idle is normal, and you have lower vacuum, I would double check your cam timing.

haha ha oops

looks like heat was getting to my vacuum line and started melting it closed, have replaced that section of hose and now vacuum is about 16-17in hg which i suspect is just due to me not setting my ign timing yet, from the sound of it, it sounds like it's a bit retarded as idle speed is a little low for cold also :)
