I triped the conectors to check my engine for fault codes due to its high idle speed, lack of getting up to opperating temp and high fuel consumption.

i tripped T and E1 (prefacelift model)

the light on the dash board went like this:-

flash

flash

flash, flash, flash, flash

flash

flash, flash, flash, flash

flash

and so on.

Now the last time i had a fault im sure it did the same which was a code 14. Then the car would cut out and not start at all. turned out to be a fault on the original dealer fitted alarm system (since removed)

now the sequence listed above looks to me like code 14 again but theres no problems running the engine at all,

could it be a code 41? which is the code for a faulty tps

am i missreading the codes here?

Usally there's a pause between the codes. So if you're getting "pause ---- then -, pause ---- then -, that's a 41. Pause - then ----, pause - then ----, would be 14.
