LOL - that was awesome. Can you imagine what's going through the mind of the driver of the Skyline that lines up next to him at about the 4minute mark? I'm sure he stages, looks right, and thinks, "FUCK. Can't ever show anyone THIS timeslip..."

Question- Is that a 1/4 mile track like in the US? Or is there a length conversion that makes it longer or shorter than 1320ft?

Right, thats Santa Pod! A race track in england.

Thats the best and fastest race track we have here in europe. Its also the track where i did my european record on my harley destroyer drag bike!

A lot of records are on the pod-racetrack.

The shorter race track you mean is the 1/8 mile. A few classes only run the 1/8 Mile (juniordragster, etc.)

400 meters

Yeah that's what I was getting at. I looked the track up and it says 1/4 mile.
400 meters is just shy of 1320ft I believe. Not that it really makes a big difference.

Did you say low 8 seconds?

We did that back in 2004 with our Pro Street Tire car:

http://www.supracentral.com/private/drag/aap1.mpeg

An that's on a full body (3100 lb), 100% stock chassis with the factory independent rear on a 10" drag radial. A door slammer with door skins, power windows and a factor dashboard...

The new car, which is a backhalf job will probably run in the high 6 second range:

Am I missing something? I just can't be impressed by that car, it's ass slow for what it is...

1/4 Mile are exactly 402,36 Meters, but in the "dragrace-buissnes" here in europe we also say 1/4 or 1/8 miele and 60ft, times, etc, etc.So here in europe is everything a little slower. Only Pro-Mod-CArs or TMFC`s (top methanol funny cars) run 6-times....ur team is also european-champion in top fuel.... Our records in europe are 4,72 seconds, but we also run the car on the NHRA in the states, right now..... In the states our fastst times are much faster. We also have to put bigger fuelpumps on the car on the us-tracks, bacause the see-level is much lower, and its more air for the engine. Also the tracks have a MUCH better traktion... Thats why everybody is faster in the us.My european record with the harley-destroyer is 9.2 sek. the  fastest guy in the states on the same bike was running 9.0sek. but its the exactly same bike. So everything is diffrent, and faster in the US.Maybe one of you guys know the ERBACHER-TOPFUEL-TEAM. WE was the first "not-american-team" since 16 Years who was qualified on a NHRA race in the top Fuel class.Breth

Breth, you need to sell the bike, build a race supra, and go out & set the record. 8sec is fast for an mk3 bodied car but 2jz street cars run 7's here in the US.
Sell the bike & do it right! Supra Style!

I saw in Switzerland MK4`s with 450 HP, they was running 13`s

Also in switzerland (pretty shitty track) was a Top-secret supra from japan 900HP it was running 10`s

Harley Davidson is not a good sponsor for a MK3-dragcar
