Usually when you upgrade your fuel injectors, AFM, and I highly recommend installing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with this at the same time because a high flowing fuel pump can be the death of a tired +20 year old stock FPR.

Sorry, I don't know when the change occurs, but my guess would be past 75% throttle, or WOT, but I don't know for sure.

Our fuel pumps do not run off of 12 volts at all times. When you install an aftermarket fuel pump, such as a Walbro, it needs the constant 12 volts to work properly an to it's full potential.

No it doesn't. It only needs enough voltage to supply the fuel needed to keep the air/fuel ratio at its proper point.

Running it on 9 volts when not under load will make the pump motor last longer.

another numbie question. whats my rear end ratio? Is it a lsd or open? Its a 1987 supra 7mgte auto. i read the tread on how to identify using the axle code but i dont have the car yet. Is there just a gear set that came with the turbo auto? if not does any one know the range of ratios they came with?

any clues on what they should run stock with a auto and cold air?

0 to 60 in 5 minuets flat...

To be honest, I think it's retarded to race a stock supra....it's not going to be impressive at all....especially a tired supra! Good luck in whatever you do (even if it's boring the hell out of people waiting for you to finally cross the 1/4 mile at 92 mph).

I disagree, to a point. Get one or two baseline runs. Don't kill it, or load it up. Just run it out like you would hitting an entrance ramp of one of our lovely interstates.

This will give you something to gauge future mods by. BTW, if you delay our track time, we will shorten your life expectancy.:icon_bigg

is your accordian hose epoxied together? replacing that, and all those dry-rotted (probly cracked) hoses around there is gonna make you really happy when you take the car out afterward.

looks like that car hasnt been air conditioned in a longgggg time haha.. all the rust in front of the engine is actually kind of a good sign- its not leaking oil everywhere.
