Fan Shroud needed?

Sorry I have no idea what it is called but my turbo supra does not have that cover that goes around the fan. How important is this shroud/cover to the supra? Mine broke long ago.

If can would autozone carry them?

It is really important especially if you live in a hot place like Texas. Autozone wont carry them, Toyota or used.

the fan will pull air from around it instead of THROUGH the radiator

on the highway it may not matter, but at lower speeds or stop and go traffic its' VERY necessary...

Ummm that it's not realy important and it's just something Toyota added to make millions on spares when they break at the built in fracture lines <sarc>

(in case anyone hadn't noticed this is sarcasm it's a very needed part of a 7M cooling system)

IJ theres a new smiley to show sarcasm... i figured you would like it... :sarcasm:

as for the shroud... its a good thing to have...but the car wont blow up on your the second you turn it on if you dont. ive been running without it for over two years now...but i do have a fluidyne etc so it helps a bit....

they arent too expensive new so might as well grab one.

I just check with autozone. They sell them for 57 bucks.

or just elimonate the midleman an upgrade on the radiator. might not even need the shroud then. the stock radiator is a tad thin.
