I've been thinking about the 08 1250cc ABS bandit, insurance for me is about 1500 a year but the bike cost around 10 grand.
My insurance is $1100 a year for a 2000 1200s. I have no wrecks and only one speeding ticket and it was in the past 6 months. When i looked at the R1 it was $4000 a year.

I'm 22 with 1 accident 7 years ago and about 12 speeding tickets. My bike is an 02 GSXR 600. Been rideing since july 2007. I dunno whyinsurance is so high for you. Maybe cause I live in TN. I dunno. Insurance on a new GSXR600 for me was $5200 a year.
