Hi guys, fitted this stage 3 F1 clutch from ebay the other day with a second hand flywheel that looked ok but with a few blueish heat marks on it, no scoring or obvious damage (ive seen alot worse) And its nasty!! Judders like crazy!! My girlfriend wont get in the car!!Ive looked on here and read some pretty bad things about these, What do you guys recomend? I really really dont wana get the flywheel refaced or get a new one and find it still judders, I read someone used the stock friction plate with the F1 pressure plate and it worked ok? I need to hold at least 350bhp, don't suppose the stock clutch will hold that?? Just after abit of advice really, don't want to spend a fortune.
Cheers guys.

I have the f1 stage 3 with light fly and I had crazy shudders. I replaced the drive shaft carrier bearing and now it only barely rattles starting in 1st. i was also missing the wave washer on the clutch hub tho.. Engine being machined so since it's out I'm gonna get the fly surfaced and address everything else. Other than that it certainly grabs.

Yeah ive got a new bearing in there too. Maybe I will just get the fly refaced and go on from there I guess!! Any ideas on what hp a stock clutch will hold?

Yeah only when engageing, i have to rev it up and just engage it pretty quick and let it wheel spin!! If i try to slip the clutch it snatches real bad and feels like its trying to rip the diff off!!Pretty much undrivable! Bros got a stage 2 in his mr2 t and its nothing like that! Yeah I will def get the fly done if its that cheap. Cheers

could be the differential bushings. is the clutch sprung or unsprung? usually upgraded clutches, the higher the stage, the higher the revs have to be to slip it.

Puck clutches are grabby and require you to get better at using a clutch. I can drive mine like it's a normal clutch, but to reduce shudder you have to rev up a bit higher.

Yeah i know what you mean about reving them high, its not that tho, theres def something wrong. Ive been thinking about the diff mounts as thats where most of the abuse comes from, but was thinking it was ok before. I will have a really good look at the wkend. Maybe look into getting uprated diff bushes or something. When slipping the clutch the car surges back and forward which is what makes me think its the clutch.
