I would also like to know what kind of proof anyone has that SPEC clutches are just repainted oem? I have a spec stage 3 clutch and it doesent look spray bombed... as adam mentioned I would think it would be obvious that it is just painted wich mine has obviously atleast been apart.
Its like looking at a engine without taking it apart, you cant tell that it has forged internals or not, but if it was painted blue would you say that its only been repainted?

Who cares? They have a very good reputation, and I've never heard of their power handling falling short of the rating. How they do it is irrelevant.

Here's another one that won't recommend an F1 Clutch.

Mine was a scam. It was a supposed Stage 2 and when I unboxed it, it was OBVOUSLY spray painted blue. There was overspray in spots.

I installed mine and did a proper 500 mile break in. My second pull after the 500 mile break in, it slipped while in third. At the time I was putting down ~320 whp and running the Fidanza 11lb flywheel.

I have since bought an ACT XTSS. It's not installed yet; but, I suspect it'll hold better than the F1.

So yea i find my self doubting lol.

Im driving down the road car is running fine shift gears all of the sudden car is Jerking back and forth (Like someone if cant drive a stick) and there is little power if you press the throttle. take it out of gear it stops. I havnt driven the car but 3-4miles tops since it started just to get it home.

So would you say thats my clutch slipping right?

stock pressure plate, feramic clutch... stock driveability & pedal pressure, 400+tq capacity, no additional loads on the engine's thrust washers.

George @ Raptor sells the aforementioned kit for a very good price, I'll be buying one myself shortly...

That doesent sound like a slipping clutch to me... if it was slipping the car would jerk less since the torque isnt getting to the ground. A slipping clutch would feel as though you are only letting out the clutch partialy (slipping the clutch)

so what does it seem like ? The car is starting fine and idling good running good oil pressure..

I have no clue what it is if its not the clutch. I know be for hand it needed to be adjusted as it doesnt engage until its almost all the way let out.

From your description I would go into the direction of an engine problem. You may have some sort of engine management issue. Have you tried checking for codes yet?

my 3+ takes considerably more effort to depress than a stock plate. It is also fairly evident that the plate has been disassembled, as there are missing assembly rivets, and no paint on the springs.

I installed one in my friends 240SX, and was a Stage 2+, and felt the same as his old exedy OEM when it came to pedal feel.

Maybe when you hit stage 3 they give you a stronger pressure plate. :dunno:

I wouldn't even no how to go about doing that. But i think it might be my injectors. Its wierd cause it just started out of no where. and it still starts and idles/revs fine just when you put it in gear (Sometimes) starts Jerking around
