I love the one I got from Driftmotion. It holds better than any other clutch I've ever had, and I'm making more power than I've ever made before. Good luck getting Spec to replace it.

yea.. I'm eyeing a ats/carbonetic triple carbon for my 2jz, I was going to use this clutch on my 1.5jz when I got it running. I REALLY dont want to buy another one, but if I have to I'll contact you.

Can you get ats/carbonetics? or just exedy? I dont want a exedy as they use metal friction plates instead of carbon friction plates.

I'll never buy another SPEC either. The first one I bought had a bent, or more like pinched, end of the metal disk that would have gouged the flywheel had Idealsupra not seen it. The second disk I bought was warped. $700 bucks down the drain, they are the suxor

well an Update.. I jumped the gun with the post I guess. They are helping me make it right again. I was just extremely aggrivated at the whole situation so I made a post. I will keep you all updated as things unfold.

I was mistaken about the warranty, I was thinking it was 6 months (not sure why) but on their website it says 120 days, so I was wrong about that and it is out of warranty.

Shipping it out tomorrow to them to see what all is wrong with it.

I loved my previous spec clutches (2 spec stage 3s before this) why I went with them, and just got a bad one or something this time around or something, or just plain bad luck (been getting LOTS lately).

no support for their products unless you drive a MKIV...

there's tons of horror stories on here and SF on them, I'll never own one because of it...

there is horror stories about everything. every clutch, turbo, piston, rod, bearinng.. every company has that human error factor. we are all not perfect, and sometimes shit happens.. the mark of a good company is how they fix the problem. like i said on SF if you ever have a problem with a spec clutch, call and talk to justin. he will get it taken care of for you.. i have the same clutch problems, with RPS, ACT, clutchmaster, ATS, and even Tilton.. you cant let the few negative threads scare you away from the part. think about the 5000 other people who run it without a problem.
